Ben Kissel Fox News Podcaster/comedian/writer/politician a Renaissance Man. His podcast "Last week about the Left", for he is a co-creator and co-host, won a Webby and was listed as one of Itunes Top 10 most downloaded comedy podcasts of 2017 with over a million readers. He is also the host of the political comedy podcast "Abe Lincoln's Top Hat". In 2017 Ben ran for Brooklyn Borough President together with the Reform Party, which he didn't win, but there's always tomorrow! He's a political pundit with appearances on CNN, Fox News Network, HLN along with a national radio host having labored on Sirius Radio and Fox News Radio. In 2015 as a political activist he was able to overturn an anti-cross dressing law in New Jersey. The previous Podcast on the Left is a weekly podcast featuring singer and comedian sponsor Ben Kissel, podcast producer and researcher Marcus Parks, and comedian and actor Henry Zebrowski (who joined in the third installment), most of whom are longtime friends. Released each Friday, the episodes are normally one hour in length, with the hosts exploring the horrors of the planet both real and imagined. Past episodes have explored the subjects of serial killers, conspiracy theories, UFO sightings, ghosts, and readings of fan-submitted creepypastas. Kissel, Parks, and Zebrowski tour with live performances of the podcast and produce The Last Stream about the Left, a live-streaming spinoff show about the Adult Swim site. From the post-Trump era, using a reality TV celebrity holding our country's highest office, tales like Kissel's are becoming more prevalent -- droves of young people are getting involved and seeking public office. On the one hand, the 2016 election showed us that candidates do not need to be qualified to win. On the flip side, it was a rude awakening the dissatisfied need to take politics into their own hands. Input Ben Kissel. In his "day job," Kissel -- combined with co-hosts Marcus Parks and Henry Zebrowski -- hosts a true-crime-meets-paranormal comedy podcast. Last Podcast on the Left is ranked second on iTunes' humor graph and attracts fans across the globe. But like many dismayed young Republicans, Kissel chose 2016 as a wake-up telephone to run for office. As someone who's been recorded in podcasts and on the radio for eight decades, Kissel acknowledges that a great deal of individuals hesitate to run for office for fear of criticism or using their previous vulnerable. His advice? Own it. In the end, he states, everyone has their own past, and so long as you "treat the Republicans with humanity and respect," voters can "accept all the flaws which go with that person, provided that that person is ready to accept them." Like the criminals he covers Last Podcast, Kissel says with a laugh, "a lot of politicians are sociopaths with no moral compass. Obviously not all of them, but we want the people who have scruples, morals, and are concerned about their own failings." For somebody who confronts the worst of humankind with dark humor in his day job, 6'7" tall Kissel truly believes in the finest of people. He believes in good intentions, sincerity, and redemption. These traits might seem just as strange in a true-crime aficionado since they do at a politician, but they're the very same traits that give a young, non-politician the unique ability to serve the general public. No matter what happens on Tuesday, Kissel says, there's no losing. "The very fact that we are on the ballot is unbelievable, which we're ready to inspire people to run or participate in the political process -- that is a win. That is a gigantic triumph," he states. Kissel needs others to take heart in this message, also: "Losing is a significant fear for individuals, but who cares! Just get out there, and if you keep getting out, continue doing this in virtually any area, you're gonna win." Read More - Ben Kissel Height
