Don't use hot water while running the garbage disposal. Hot water converts the grease in your trash to liquid form. When the liquified grease goes down the drain, it clogs the pipes. Clean the aerator to if you are dealing with low water pressure issues due to sediment buildup. Remove the aerator, take it apart, and clean with a small brush dipped in vinegar. After rinsing the aerator, put it back together and reinstall it. Your water pressure should improve because the obstructing particles or buildup have been removed. Do not flush unneeded things down your toilet if you want to lessen your chance of having issues. Do not flush sanitary pads, paper towels, cotton balls, tissues, diapers or other materials, as these items do not dissolve and could cause clogs. Enzyme cleaners are preferred by many to clear clogged drains. Frozen pipes can cause you to incur expensive plumbing repair bills. The first concern is making sure that all water lines that run outside of your house are fully and sufficiently insulated. When the temperature dips, you should also make sure your garden hoses are disconnected and that your exterior faucet is shut off. Doing so can prevent some nasty repair bills a professional plumber would charge you. The valves that are hardly ever used have their way of somehow fusing together. Keep them lubricated using penetrating oil. Be sure to turn them periodically to avoid sticking. You need to be properly educated and prepared in order to stay away from plumbing problems.
